The Boot Camp was facilitated by Mr. Jonathan Rodrigues and Mr. Nisshant Laroia, co-founder and partner of PACT respectively

PACT stands for Peacekeeping and Dispute Resolution Team and their CDR Boot Camp comprises of training in Consensual Dispute Resolution methodologies, i.e., Mediation and Negotiation.

Shreedharan, CEO of SKS Law Associates which is among the top IP Law Firms in India; Dr. Raman Mittal, Associate Professor of Law, University of Delhi headed the various Technical Sessions throughout the Conference.

Orientation Programme was held at Seminar Hall, Administrative Block for newly admitted students and their parents/ guardians of B.A.,LL.B. (Hons.) FYIC 2018 and LL.M. One year degree course 2018 in presence of Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Dr. J. S. Patil, Faculties and Non Teaching Staffs.
Students were introduced about different Centres of University, Grievance Redressal Portal and also the Anti-ragging Team and Internal Complaints Committee. Students were ensured that our campus is free from Ragging and Sexual Harassment.
They were also motivated to take part in various academic and co curricular activities.

Mr. Aproov Mishra and Ms. Rupali Poodar, 6th Semester of the National Law University Assam secured 1st Prize in the 1st National Online Judgement Writing Competition 2018 organized by The Journal for Indian Researchers.

One day Presentation cum symposium on "Women Safety in Present Era" was organised by 'Celebrating India' in collaboration with Hostel and Campus Welfare Committee, NLUJA Assam at Seminar Hall, NLUJA Assam.

Prof. Dr. H. Raghavendrachar, principal, Sri Vijayanagar College of Law, Andhra Pradesh; delivered a series of lectures on Family Law at the National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam.

Mr. Varun Kedia, Ms. Margaret Sengupta and Ms. Nikita Sharma of Thomson Reuters visited University for Recruitment and Internship drive.

Ms. Meenakshi Davar Director, Power System Operation Corporation Limited, a Govt. of India Enterprise, Mr. T. S. Singh, Executive Director and their team conducted campus interview at NLUJA Assam to recruit students in their organisation.

Second Dr. Gurjeet Singh Memorial National Moot Court Competition (GSMNMCC) was held on April 20-22, 2018.

The moot is named after the Founder- Vice Chancellor, Late Prof (Dr.) Gurjeet Singh who left for his heavenly abode on the 1st of April, 2017, out of indebtedness for his contribution and to symbolically immortalize his legacy in the annals of National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam.

 The inaugural Lamp was lit by Chief Guest Mr. Manveen Singh, Assistant Professor, Jindal Global Law School; Prof. (Dr.) J. S. Patil, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, NLUJAA; Mr. Miftahuddin Ahmed, Registrar, NLUJAA and Prof. Yugal Kishore, Professor of Law, NLUJAA.

The Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Law University and judicial Academy, Assam on April 12, 2018 at Nagpur for fostering academic collaboration between the two universities. This MoU facilitates MNLU, Nagpur to operationalize its vision and mission of ensuring academic collaboration that will encompass exchange of students and members of faculty between the two universities; collaborate in mutual agreeable academic events, teaching, training and research; offer full time as well as optional courses to the undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses offered at these universities on mutually agreeable terms and conditions; supervise Ph.D. Scholars in interdisciplinary areas of research having interface with law; and initiate other academic activities, research and publication. In addition to this, active efforts will be made to develop joint training and collaborative research programmes that will be pursued in a collaborative spirit.

Alumni Association of National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam was innaugurated by Prof. Vijender Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, National Law University, Nagpur.
