Dr. Kankana Baishya is Assistant Librarian in National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam. She has more than fifteen years of experience as a LIS professional. She cleared UGC-NET in 2010 and holds her Ph.D from Gauhati University on ‘Indian Institutional Repository: A Study’. She is the University Coordinator for INFLIBNET Centre, Founder Secretary of Women Librarians’ Association of Assam (WLAA), Executive Member of Assam Library Association, extended Executive Member of Gauhati University LIS Alumni Association and member of IASLIC . She has several publications and coedited books and journals to her credit. Her paper on ‘Intellectual Property Rights Issues of Indian Institutional Repository’ received the best paper award in the professional summit of NLU, Delhi.
