Abhiveera - 2024

NLUJA’s Abhiveera 2024, held from April 23rd to 26th, 2024, was an exhilarating inter-university national sports fest that brought together a diverse array of talented athletes and sports enthusiasts. With the spirited slogan #harkoikhiladi, the event embodied the essence of competition, camaraderie, and sportsmanship. The fest featured an extensive range of sports, including Badminton, Cricket, Football, Five-A-Side, Basketball, Chess, Table Tennis, Carrom, and Volleyball, making it a vibrant celebration of athletic prowess and strategic brilliance.

The fest kicked off with a grand opening ceremony that set the tone for the days to come. The venue was abuzz with excitement as students from various universities across the nation gathered, showcasing their institution's colors and spirit. The opening ceremony was marked by speeches from notable dignitaries, inspiring performances, and a ceremonial lighting of the torch, symbolizing the start of a journey filled with sportsmanship and competitive zeal.

Badminton and Table Tennis courts saw fierce rallies and quick reflexes, with players demonstrating agility, precision, and endurance. The matches were a spectacle of fast-paced action, with athletes pushing their limits to secure victory. In the Cricket arena, the grounds echoed with the sound of bat against ball, as teams showcased their batting, bowling, and fielding skills. Each match was a test of strategy and stamina, with nail-biting finishes that kept the audience on the edge of their seats.

Football and Five-A-Side matches were characterized by their dynamic gameplay, with teams employing tactical formations and brilliant ball control. The thrill of the game was palpable, with every goal and save eliciting roars of applause from the spectators. The Basketball court was no different, with teams displaying high-flying dunks, three-point shots, and tight defense, making each game a showcase of athleticism and teamwork.

Chess and Carrom offered a contrasting experience, emphasizing mental acuity and strategy. The Chessboard was a battlefield of wits, where players maneuvered their pieces with great foresight and cunning. Carrom tables, on the other hand, were centers of intense concentration, with players aiming for precision and control to sink their coins into the pockets.

The Volleyball matches were equally captivating, with players leaping high to smash spikes and execute intricate sets and serves. The energy was infectious, with every point won being celebrated with cheers and applause. The fest concluded with a closing ceremony that highlighted the achievements of the participants, with awards and medals being presented to the winners in each category.

Abhiveera 2024 was more than just a sports fest; it was a convergence of talent, passion, and spirit. It provided a platform for athletes to showcase their skills, build lasting friendships, and celebrate the joy of sports. The event was a testament to the power of sports to unite people, inspire greatness, and create unforgettable memories. Abhiveera - 2023

The National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam, hosted ADUJ - Abhiveera, the third edition of its festival, which celebrated culture, literature, and sports in a four-day extravaganza from 26th April to 29th April 2023.

This event was an intricate display of talent, encompassing the arts and sports from across the country, hosted on our campus located between the hills and the mighty Brahmaputra, in the scenic city of Guwahati.

The event lineup was complemented by professional shows curated for our attendees. Additionally, a prize pool of over INR 3,00,000/- was awarded across various competitions including debate, quiz, MUN, Battle of Bands, cricket, football, volleyball, and many more.

ADUJ - Abhiveera 2023 was a testament to the university's commitment to fostering talent and sportsmanship, providing a platform for students to showcase their skills and creativity in a vibrant and supportive environment.

Abhiveera - 2020

Abhiveera 2020, hosted by the National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam, took place on 28th February, 1st March, and 2nd March 2020. This vibrant three-day event celebrated the convergence of culture, literature, and sports, bringing together talent from across the nation. Participants competed in a range of events including cricket, badminton, five-a-side football, volleyball, carrom, and more. The festival also featured artistic showcases such as debates, quizzes, and musical performances, fostering creativity and sportsmanship. Abhiveera 2020 was a testament to the university’s commitment to excellence, providing a dynamic platform for students to shine.

 

Abhiveera - 2018

National Law University and Judicial Academy Assam, conducted its first version of Inter-University National sports fest “ABHIVEERA” from 07th March 2018 to 10th March 2018. Abhiveera, the annual sports fest of NLUJAA, was inaugurated by His Honourable, Retired Justice, A.C. Upadhaya, who presided as the Chief Guest of the opening ceremony and lit the lamp. The Vice Chancellor of NLUJAA presided as the Guest of Honour along with other dignified guests and students from different universities across the country. Various cultural performances by the students followed by speech of the Chief Guest and Guest of honour marked the successful opening of the sports fest.

Various sports like, Cricket, Football, Basketball, Badminton; indoor events like – Chess, Carrom, Table Tennis, Sports Quiz etc, were largely participated and enthusiastically played by students from different institutes. Abhiveera witnessed a participation of more than 600+ students from prominent institutions like, National Law University, Ranchi, Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, North East Frontier Law College, Guwahati, Tata Institute Of Social Sciences, Guwahati, L.C.B College, Guwahati, K.C. Das Commerce College, Guwahati Commerce College, Regional Institute of Management, Narangi Anchalik Mahavidyalaya, DADRA Football Club, Jorhat College, West Guwahati College, etc.

After the end of three days, K.C. Das Commerce college, got the best contingent with 3 Gold and 1 Silver to their gallery.

The Closing Ceremony was presided by Mr. Mukhesh Sahay DGP, Assam Police along with Prof. Armin Rosencranz, Stanford School of Law. Mr.Mukesh Sahay, put into motion the energy and sportsmen spirit of the students with his bold speech. The trophies were given away by the Chief Guest and Guest of honour, followed by a Social Night, where students from all the institutions had a healthy and refreshing interaction.

Overall, Abhiveera, the National Sports Fest of NLUJAA, satisfied all the participants as promised and was a grand success, and served as a historical event in the timeline of National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam.
