VOX ANATOLIS

Vox Anatolis National Moot Court Competition (“The Voice of the East”) is one of the flagship moot court competitions organised by the National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam. The proposition for the competition revolves around the theme concerning Northeastern region of the country based on the issues and the questions of law related to the region which has helped the moot carve out a niche and hence, this moot court competition provides a great opportunity to the students to research on such legal issues and provides a meaningful platform to present such legal nuances. In its previous editions, Vox Anatolis has delved into the contentious issues relating to the region such as the Citizenship Amendment Act and National Register of Citizens.

The three-day mooting exercise was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Retired Mr. Justice B. P. Katoki on March 01, 2019.

4th Edition VOX Anatolis NMCC - 2025

Building upon the success of the first three editions, both regionally and nationally, we are pleased to introduce the fourth iteration of this moot in 2025 that is based on the recurring debate around the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act, 1958 and its application in this region. With a vision to strengthen the mooting culture in Northeast India, this edition marks the beginning of a long-term initiative to promote legal scholarship in the region. By fostering engagement at both regional and national levels, Vox Anatolis aspires to serve as a leading forum for discourse on Northeast Indian legal issues, solidifying its reputation as The Voice of the East.
