Profile
Ms. Upasana Devi is working as a Guest Faculty of History and has been associated with the teaching of B.A.,L.L.B. Five year Integrated courses since August 2022. Currently, she is also a part of the Centre for Disability Studies and Health Laws at NLUJAA and in-charge of the ongoing Research Project of the Centre. Before working at NLUJAA, she had worked at the Dept. of History at Assam University, Silchar Campus and taught both specialisation and general courses at the postgraduate level. She has completed her B.A. (Hons.) in History from Handique Girls’ College, Gauhati University in 2012 and completed her M.A. also in History with specialization in Modern Indian History from Cotton College, Gauhati University in 2014. She cleared her SLET in History in 2016. She has also recently submitted her doctoral thesis the research of which was carried out from the Dept. of History, Gauhati University in the area of Partition Studies and public health. She has also presented research papers in national and international seminars and conferences and participated in various workshops. She also has a few publications in peer-reviewed and UGC-care listed journals and an upcoming publication in an edited book.
