Profile

Dr. Preeti Chakravartty is working as a Guest Faculty of Economics and has been associated with the teaching of B.A.,L.L.B. Five year Integrated courses since 6th October 2022. Currently, she is also a part of the Centre for Advanced Research on Corporate Law (CARCL) at NLUJAA. Before working at NLUJAA, she had worked at the Dept. of Economics at Handique Girls’ College, Guwahati and Assam Downtown University and taught both specialisation and general courses at the graduate and postgraduate level. She has completed her B.Sc. (Hons.) in Economics with Mathematics and Statistics (general course) from Handique Girls’ College, Gauhati University. Her M.Sc. is also in Economics with specialization in Econometrics from Gauhati University. She also did her Ph.D on the topic “Silk Industry and Women Empowerment: A Study on Mulberry and Muga Silk of Sualkuchi Village, Kamrup (Rural) District of Assam” which was awarded in 2022 from the Department of Economics, Bodoland University, Assam . She has also presented research papers in many national and international seminars and conferences and participated in various workshops. She also has a few publications in peer-reviewed and UGC-care listed journals.
