Profile

Ms. Ankita Sharma is currently a Guest Faculty at the National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam (NLUJA), and is pursuing her Ph.D. in Law from the Department of Law, North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong, specializing in Environmental and Criminal Law. She cleared the UGC-NET in 2019 and has been actively engaged in academia, research, and legal practice since then. Ms. Sharma holds a B.A. LL.B from NLUJA and an LL.M from NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, with a focus on Constitutional and Criminal Law. Additionally, she has earned diplomas in Internet Law and Policy from Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) and Entrepreneurship Administration & Business Law from the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS).

Her practical experience as a Legal Consultant, including her involvement with organizations such as the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), complements her academic endeavors. Her expertise spans Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Environmental Law, Contract Law, and International Law. Ms. Sharma is also an accomplished author and editor, having contributed to renowned journals and books. She served as the editor of The Just Transition: Navigating a Sustainable Future, published by EBH Publishers.
