National Commission for Women in collaboration with National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam Organised Regional Law Review Consultation on Cyber Laws Effecting Women (North East Region) at Seminar Hall, NLUJA.

The Centre for Clinical Legal Education and Legal Aid Cell, in collaboration with the Centre for Disability and Health Laws at NLUJAA held a legal awareness camp. This event took place across two schools, Anandi Hindi High School and Amingaon High School, offering an opportunity for school students across Classes 8,9 and 10 to learn about crucial legal topics, including mental health rights, child labor laws, disability rights, child protection, and child marriage prevention.

The National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam (NLUJAA) has been established by the Government of Assam by way of enactment of the National Law School and Judicial Academy, Assam Act, 2009 (Assam Act No. XXV of 2009). The word 'School' was replaced by the word 'University' by amending the National Law School and Judicial Academy, Assam (Amendment) Act, 2011. The Hon'ble Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court is the Chancellor of the University. NLUJAA promotes and makes available modern legal education and research facilities to students and scholars drawn from across the country, including the North East, coming from different socio-economic, ethnic, religious and cultural backgrounds.

The National Law University and Judicial Academy Assam (NLUJAA) was established by the Government of Assam through the enactment of the National Law School and Judicial Academy Assam Act 2009 (Assam Act No. XXV of 2009). In 2012, the word 'School' was replaced by 'University' by amending the National Law School and Judicial Academy Assam (Amendment) Act. NLUJA Assam was the first National Law University established in the North Eastern Region of India, with the aim of promoting exemplary legal education that transcends regional limitations and aspires to global standards. Since its inception, NLUJA Assam has endeavoured to provide cutting-edge legal education that addresses both the theoretical and practical aspects of the discipline. The undergraduate and postgraduate curricula designed by the University adopt a progressive approach to legal studies that not only consolidates the fundamentals but also explores interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary pathways. Additionally, the curriculum offers a wide range of optional and specialization papers, allowing students to explore the diverse facets of the discipline.
