Thangzakhup Tombing is working as an Assistant Professor of Law. He has completed his LL. B. from Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. He is a gold medalist in LL. M. from Jamia Milia Islamia University with specialization in Personal Laws. He is UGC- (NET)/ (JRF) holder. Prior to joining NLU, Assam, he was working in University of Delhi as Assistant Professor of Law. He had attended a number of seminars, conferences, workshops etc. At NLU, Assam, he is teaching the subject of Research Methodology and Family Law. His other areas of interest include Human Rights law, and Constitutional Law.
Apart from academic works he is the Faculty- in Charge of Internships. He is a member of the Academic Council at NLU, Assam. He organized the First North East Rounds of the Surana and Surana National Trial Advocacy Moot Court competition- 2012 in his capacity as the then Faculty –In- Charge of the NLUJA Moot Court.
His hobbies include playing outdoor games, music and reading.
