Ms. Nandarani Choudhury is working as Assistant Registrar (Academic) at National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam. She has graduated with English Hons. from University of Calcutta and has completed her M.A. (English) from University of Calcutta and M.A. (Sociology) from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). She has qualified the UGC-NET and is presently pursuing her Ph.D from the Department of Sociology, Tezpur University. Her research work is on " Socio - Cultural Influences on Mental Health: A Study on Women of Assam". She has done her B.Ed from University of Calcutta. She has done Post Graduate Diploma / Professional Certificate courses on Human Resource Management (AIIMA), Women Empowerment and Development (IGNOU) and Sustainable Rural Development (NIRD and University of Hyderabad).
Prior to her appointment at NLU, Assam she served Tezpur University for 9 years as Education Officer - Equal Opportunity Cell. She has completed academic research projects (with ICMR support) and action research projects (in collaboration with UNICEF) and has been an active member of committees that planned, coordinated and conducted an array of academic events including Workshops / Seminars / Short Term courses etc. She has published a few papers in reputed Indian Journals and has attended international academic events.
She is interested in reading, cooking and social service.
