Use of LED

The university's decision to implement LED lighting across all its buildings represents a significant stride towards sustainability and energy efficiency. LED (Light Emitting Diode) technology is a game-changer in the world of illumination, offering numerous advantages over traditional lighting systems. By opting for LEDs, the university is reducing its carbon footprint, as these lights consume considerably less energy, resulting in lower electricity bills and a decreased demand for power generation. Moreover, LED lights have a longer lifespan, reducing the need for frequent replacements and, subsequently, less waste in the form of discarded bulbs. Beyond the environmental benefits, LED lighting enhances the quality of illumination, providing brighter, more consistent, and flicker-free lighting in classrooms, labs, libraries, and common areas. This investment in sustainable lighting not only aligns with the university's commitment to eco-conscious practices but also fosters a well-lit, conducive environment for learning, research, and innovation across its campus.
